Tour of the banana estuary
Resting under the symphony of songs of the different species of birds that fly over its small paradisiacal beach, Estero de Plátano awaits you, a town that you will want to return to as many times as you can.
On this tour, we will visit the town Estero de Plátano, a bay appreciated for its impressive resemblance to a large natural pool: on its beach of 3 km in length, its sand is fine and gray, the tone of its waters is turquoise temperate, and its vegetation is an Amazonian and tropical fusion. The guardians of this treasure of the Pacific are an amazing group of seabirds that are in a refuge. We can see seagulls, frigates, pelicans, shorebirds, and if we are attentive, including crabs.
Estero de Plátano is one of the most beautiful destinations in the province of Esmeraldas, perfect both for resting and practicing various water sports
This is, without doubt, a beautiful tourist destination for locals and foreigners. Little by little, the inhabitants of the area have developed tourism, the production of handicrafts and environmental protection in a sustainable manner.
We will visit the boardwalk, which has all the necessary tourist services, and where we can enjoy an exquisite cuisine, refresh and have fun at entertaining evenings. In addition, we will walk for about three hours, where we can bathe in the small natural pools on the seafront and visit the majestic waterfalls.
In addition, we will be part of the preparation and tasting of a delicious and fresh lunch in the Sea and Forest restaurant. We will have the opportunity to see how our dishes come to life in front of our own eyes to accompany the fishermen to find fresh food, participate in the preparation of our dishes, and finally taste an exquisite traditional flavor. The restaurant, run by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of the region, is a great way to support the indigenous products of Estero de Plátano and the livelihood of the community.
